Mission Statement:

Lucky Strikes is a guild comprised of players who are both serious raiders with a laid back attitude. Our goal is to reach end game content with the best group of people in the game.

Applications:

Applicants are reviewed by the Officer's and recruited based on gear, knowledge of the game and commitment to reach end game content. When reviewing an applicant, we will check armory to determine your gear and reputation with assorted factions. Your commitment to the guild can be gauged by your willingness to respect to serve the betterment of an encounter and how you contribute to the guild, either by donating Materials, Gold or running instances for gear on non-raid days. All new applicants will go thru a minimum 2-week trial. During this trial you will be evaluated based on attendance and how well you perform in 5-man instances, any 10+ man raids.

At the end of your trial, you can be promoted to full Member status or Casual Status. If you are promoted to Member status, you will be given either a 10-man designation due to your gear or performance or 25-man farmed/progression designation. Again this can be based on either your gear or performance during the trial period. If it happens to be due to gear you should make certain to attend all 10-man raids and Heroics in order to get to the appropriate gear to get into 25-man content. If it is due to performance, you should also be getting into as much 10-man content as possible. Another way to learn your class is to PVP and definitely study your class.

If you are on 25-man farmed or progression content, you are required to attend 80% of the raids. It is not required to be there 100% of the time as we understand you have a RL, however this is a raiding guild with aspirations to reach end-game content. Any players that have not met our expectations after the trial period will NOT be asked to leave the guild. You can stay for the community however will not be considered for 25-man content. This however can change based on on-going evaluations.

Trial accounts will not be allowed any alts until Trial period is over. Exceptions can be made if your alt is also being considered for raiding.

Guild Structure

Leadership

Lucky Strikes was organized based what best benefits the guild. The Guild Master distributes the roles to better server the guild as a whole. There are two separate Officer groups that help maintain the day to day of the guild. The GM, Officers and Admins and then we have our Captains.

Ranks:

Guild Master Enough said, he maintains the guild by evaluating everyone as a whole. He speaks to the Officers and Admins daily to determine what is needed.

Officers: Raid Manager/Supply Officer and Co-GM. We have three officers here to help manage the guild and keep supplies and raids going plus our Co-GM for when the GM is not around.

Officer Alt: GM and Officer Alts

Admins: Assist Officers for raids, recruitment maintaining the website and updating Guidelines etc.

Captain: These are established LS players who take an active role in forming non-progression groups.

Veterans: Veterans are players that have shown commitment to the guild, are competent in playing their class.

Member: These are our core raiders.

Casual: Non-Raid members, Friends, Family and extended trial.

Alt: Enough said

Trial: Read Applicant process, you can go to Casual or Member from here.

Communications:

  • Vent
  • Guild Chat
  • Guild Site/Forums
  • In-game mail

Guild Guidelines:

  • All members are expected to treat each other with respect. Guild Chat is not a forum to flame others and to create drama. If you are having an issue with someone, party up and speak to each other, speak to each other on vent and work it out. If you are feeling that this is not going anywhere please speak to your GM or an officer.
  • Cooperation is what a guild is all about. A guild is established in order to help accomplish goals that cannot be achieved on your own. As an MMORPG you need others more often then not. Help each other by running instances, farming mats and PVPing. Nothing better then being ganked by horde and saying something on gchat for help and getting instant replies for invites.
  • Guild Communications, I know we have friends in other guilds and what not, but keep what is said in guild channels within the guild. The business of Lucky Strikes is for Lucky Strikes. We don’t need to have our communications broadcasted to all of the World........of Warcraft.
  • Inappropriate language, I am not saying we don’t use it. However, please view above concerning treating others with respect. You are not to use language, which is harsh towards a fellow guild member. This can result in you being sat out of raids and/or being removed from the guild. We don’t want any hurt feelings over some immature comment being made. Use common sense when speaking to others and don’t cross a line that is obviously right there to be seen.

Raids:

  • Members and above are not allowed to raid with other guilds/PUG for on any progression content unless permission has been given by Raid Officer or GM.
  • Every Member should come ready to raid with all consumables, repaired gear, reagents and a WINNING attitude.
  • All loot that is obtained is distributed via DKP for all content, with a Loot Council Override if needed. The only exception to DKP and Loot Council will be for the gearing of the Main Tanks, as they have priority over gear for main spec to help with progression.
  • The dynamics of a raid can change by encounter, such as needing more Range DPS versus Melee or requiring more healers etc. If you are asked to sit for an encounter and be on stand-by you will earn DKP. If you log off, you will not receive any DKP unless you inform the Raid Officer before hand, such as logging to an alt or some such. If you do not inform the Raid Officer you will lose ALL DKP for the night.
  • AWOL, for all T8 Content, you must advise us via appropiate channels (AWOL Forum. Shoutbox, e-mail or in-game) that you are not able to make it. You will have DKP deducted per Raid if you DO NOT inform us you will be missing a Raid.
  • Please review Raid Etiquette post in forums.

With People Out of Guild:

  • Do not ninja items during a PUG.
  • Don’t flame other guilds.
  • No trash talking in general, trade, or any outside chat unless in good fun.
  • You represent us to the other guilds, so do so wisely by being polite and courteous.

Unforeseen Amendments:

We as a guild have to recognize that not all things that can occur can be planned for. We try to come up with solutions to situations before hand, however this may not always be possible. As such, if a change is needed for any of our policies as a guild, we will give the change a week before it is implemented. This will allow all members to view the change and be aware of it and comment on it. If the majority of the guild disagrees with the change, then another week will be given to voice disagreements and find a resolution.

We will attempt to keep everyone informed as much as possible with all changes being made. During that week buffer you must let us know what you think of any new amendment being added. Otherwise it will go thru as planned.
